Program for students of elementary and high schools for the school year 2023/2024. Bookings are essential for all school visits. All the events can be presented either in English or Slovak language and the capacity for the events is 25 students. Each event can be supplemented with a tour of American Center and British Centre.

American Center

United States of America
We’ll talk about geography, history, culture and many other features of this fascinating country. We won’t forget to mention the presidents or the significance of the American flag. (high schools)

Cities of USA
There are many interesting cities in the US and we will try our best to introduce the most significant ones of them. To name a few, we’ll talk about New York, Washington and Los Angeles. (seventh grade and up)

Landmarks of USA
Can you tell apart The Capitol and The White House? Can you name any national parks of USA? And whose faces are on the famous Mount Rushmore? We will answer all these questions and more. You’ll even find out what is inside the Statue of Liberty. (seventh grade and up)

Fighting disinformation
Do you know the difference between disinformation, hoax and conspiracy theory? And how do you steer clear of them on the internet? This 45-minute-long workshop will test your ability to discern truth from the lies, show you well-known disinformation websites and examine your media literacy. (high schools)

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
We’ll talk about Great Britain, it’s geography, history and politics; and we won’t forget to mention the weather or the tea at five. (high schools)

London
We’ll show you the most visited sights of this city but also mention places you probably didn’t even know about. Together we’ll talk about some old legends about London and we won’t forget to mention the world’s oldest subway. (seventh grade and up)

Royal family
What is the royal family’s surname? Since when is this family ruling Britain? And what do its members actually do? We will answer all these questions and more. You’ll even find out what nail polish did the Queen wear and what was her husband’s nickname for her. (seventh grade and up)

J.K. Rowling
We’ll talk about life and work of this famous author and we’ll even visit places that are connected to her books and movies about Harry Potter. (fifth to ninth grade)
